Bhopal’s first ever pride parade happened on International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia

After Lucknow, Bhopal is now out and proud in support of its queer community. On May 17, 2017, the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, Bhopal walked its first Pride March near Upper Lake in Bhopal. Leading up to the march on the 17th, Citizens Action Network had organised a series of events between 13-17 of May 2017 including an open jam on ‘What’s my gender’, an exhibition with poems, photographs and artworks, a flash mob, among others. Below is a photo story of Bhopal’s first pride march in support of its LGBTQIA community capturing some of the finer moments of the march.
